2019 Women’s GCWC entry fee

The entry fee for the 2019 Women’s Golf Croquet World Championship is £96.

Number of Entrants

WCF Simon Carter Golf Croquet World Championship 2019

The WCF Simon Carter Golf Croquet World Championship 2019 will be held at the Sussex County Croquet Club in West Sussex, England (and other venues) from Saturday, 27 July to Sunday, 4 August 2019 in accordance with version 4.9 of the Event Regulations and version 8.9 of the Sports Regulations.

A Qualifying Tournament will be held at Guildford & Godalming Croquet Club from Monday, 22 July to Thursday, 25 July 2019.  The Allocation Date was 26 May 2019.  Following two withdrawals after the Cut-Off date of 9 June 2019, the top six competitors will be awarded Qualifying Places in the main event.

No further applications to join the Qualifying Tournament Reserve List will now be accepted.  

ENTRIES

The list of competitors with confirmed entries may be found at 2019 GC World Championship - list of competitors.

Following the passing of the Cut-Off Date on 9 June 2019, the Replacement Ranking List is no longer in use.  Any further withdrawals by holders of Ranking Places or Wild Card Places will be filled by awarding extra Qualifying Places.

If a holder of a Membership Place withdraws , the relevant WCF Member is entitled to name a substitute within 14 days or, if earlier, by the Qualifying Tournament Closing Date.  If no such substitute can be named in time, the vacancy will also be filled by awarding an extra Qualifying Place. 

OTHER KEY DATES

Qualifying Tournament Closing Date: Sunday, 7 July 2019

This is the last date on which entries can be received to fill any vacancies in the Qualifying Tournament. It is also the last date on which any returned Membership Places can be replaced by a player from the same country.

WCF Under 21 Golf Croquet World Championship 2019

The WCF Under 21 Golf Croquet World Championship 2019 will be held at the Nottingham Croquet Club in England from Saturday, 20 July to Wednesday, 24 July 2019 in accordance with version 4.9 of the Event Regulations and version 8.9 of the Sports Regulations.

If a player with a Membership Place withdraws, their WCF Member may nominate an eligible replacement within 14 days.

Women’s Golf Croquet World Championship

Hawkes Bay, New Zealand – Saturday, 2 February to Saturday, 9 February 2019

Following the passing of the Closing Date on Sunday, 23 September 2018, 18 Membership Places and 34 Ranking Places have been awarded.  The names of the 52 players are set out below.

The Event Capacity is 56.  The four unallocated places will now be available for the top four finishers in a Qualifying Tournament.

2019 Women’s GCWC – Ranking Places announced

Women’s Golf Croquet World Championship

Hawkes Bay, New Zealand – Saturday, 2 February to Saturday, 9 February 2019

Following the passing of the Response Date on Sunday, 29 July 2018, 20 Membership Places and two Wild Card places were requested by eight WCF Members and 76 players were nominated for Ranking Places.  The Event Capacity is 56.

The players for whom Wild Card Places were requested (Grace Mohi (NZL) and Eleanor Ross (NZL)) have both qualified to receive Ranking Places.  Accordingly, 36 Ranking Places are available and the names of the players to whom they have been awarded are set out below.

The WCF Members which have requested Membership Places are reminded that the names of the players to whom they have been allocated must be notified to the Secretary-General by no later than midnight on the Closing Date, Sunday, 23 September 2018.  Any Membership Place that is not taken up by then will become an additional Ranking Place and will be awarded to the player on the Reserve List with the highest 12 month Maximum Grade on the Closing Date.

Following the passing of the Response Date on Sunday, 29 July 2018, 20 Membership Places and two Wild Card places have been requested by eight WCF Members and 76 players have been nominated for Ranking Places.  The Event Capacity is 56.

The Ranking Places will be awarded to the players (see note) with the highest 12 month Maximum Grades as at midnight on the Allocation Date, namely Sunday, 12 August 2018.  The names of these players will be announced on the WCF website and directly to the relevant WCF Members on the Announcement Date, Sunday, 26 August 2018.

Note: The actual number of Ranking Places awarded will depend on whether (a) any Wild Card places are awarded and (b) all Membership Places requested are required.
